Anita Dhananjay Deshpande is a distinguished Indian artist, art educator, and author based in Pune, Maharashtra. Trained at Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Latur, and Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, she specializes in Indian Decorative Art, watercolour landscapes, and oil paintings inspired by Indian culture and spirituality.
With over three decades of experience, Anita has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Maharashtra and has served as a guest lecturer at several educational institutions. She is the President of Bharatiya Kala Manch, Pune, and has dedicated herself to promoting art through teaching, workshops, exhibitions, and children's art camps.
An accomplished author, Anita has published several art books, including Creative Design, Mehandi Design, and Colouring Book for Kids. Her contributions to the arts have been recognized with awards such as the Ideal Art Teacher Award and the Gondhalekar Award. Her paintings are part of private and institutional collections across India.
